Construction Management

Orbit has a strong track record of managing their development sites to reduce impacts on neighbouring residents and the environment.

The following measures will be implemented during the construction of the development:

• All construction traffic to enter and leave the site from the proposed access onto Yarmouth Road;

• Pre-agreed routes to and from the site for construction traffic (including deliveries);

• Access barrier to control flow of construction vehicles to and from the site;

• Looped haul road to allow a one-way flow of construction traffic, so traffic can exit the site in a forward gear;  

• Signage to highlight pedestrian and vehicular access to and around the site;

• Wheel washing facilities and regular cleaning of the surrounding highways;

• Sufficient staff car parking on site;

• Strict control of dust using all reasonable methods; and

• Operating hours of 07:30 - 18:00 Monday to Friday, 8:00 - 13:30 on Saturdays if required. No work shall take place on Sundays or on bank holidays.

We work closely with the neighbourhoods surrounding our sites to ensure that there are effective communication channels between the construction team and the community.
